Size and usage
Perfect for starting out! 172 x 58 cm x 4mm width. As beginner gentle yogi, we created this entry level mat as a good start. It's made out of PVC with 0% Phthalates - safe for your and your child's skin. For more advanced mats that require more grip, we would recommend our higher ranged mats! We do have pilates mats suitable for HIIT (abrasion resistance). Grip and comfort is essential in your practice. That's why the whole range of Yoga mats has been designed based on your specific needs.
Which yoga mat to choose?
This is the most basic mat. - Do you have a gentle yoga practice (hatha, restorative, prenatal, nidra, etc.)? Transitions are slower and poses are less physically intense. A mat between 5 and 8 mm thick, will provide enough cushioning for your cervical spine and joints. - Do you do dynamic yoga (Ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar, hot yoga, Bikram)? Transitions are fast and the intensity is high. Choosing a mat with a rubber top, as well as thickness up to 5mm, will give you better grip and stability.
Caring for your Mat
This mat is made out of PVC, which is prone to flaking if item is used vigorously. Please do not use this mat with shoes on, or for dynamic yoga or HIIT - we do have mats in our range more suitable to that usage with abrasion resistance. After practicing, use our essential oil spray to freshen your mat. To clean your mat, wipe down with warm soapy water and allow to air dry before rolling up.
