    Technical Information

    1
    Fitting/removal
Quick installation. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like, and if there's no wind, no need for pegs = ready to use!). Easy folding using our "Easy" guiding system.
    2
    Ventilation
1 upper rear air vent and 2 spaces between the flysheet and the ground on either side in the middle of the room to allow air to circulate and to keep the natural build-up of condensation to a minimum.
    3
    Sun protection
The flysheet fabric filtrs UV rays with an SPF of 30. Please note: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door: protect your skin.
    4
    Waterproofing
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (entire tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) as well as field tested. (Flysheet coated polyester PU 2000mm, ground sheet polyethylene 120 g/m², all seams sealed with heat-sealed strips). The presence of a breathing polyester compartment underneath the flysheet avoids contact with condensation water drops which can form on the inside of the flysheet.
    5
    Wind resistance
We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel with a rotary table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the guy ropes properly positioned around the tent should remain habitable in wind speeds of up to 50 km/h measured near ground level (Force 6).

    Product test
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200 mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.

    Stockage tips
STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould forming.

    Maintenance tips
1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
