We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours).
WATERPROOF INSERT or MEMBRANE
A membrane is a very thin (around 5 to 25 micrometres) polymer layer (polyurethane, polyester or PTFE) that is applied to the inner surface of a fabric to make it highly waterproof and breathable.
WATER REPELLENT COMPONENT
All Wedze gloves are equipped with water repellent treatment. Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. Fabric is made water repellent by applying a treatment to the outside of the fabric. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (every 2 or 3 washes). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.
All our Wedze gloves are Windproof. Do you know that you feel colder in the wind? Consequently, an outdoor temperature of 0°C with a windspeed of 20 km/h will feel like -10°C. The so-called "windproof" components reduce this chill effect by stopping the air flow caused by the wind or the relative speed of the sports activity.
EASY TO PUT ON
With the inner webbing structure, gloves are quick and easy to pull on. All Wedze have Webbing (except the ACCES model)
An elasticated strap prevents you losing your gloves when taking them off on the ski lift.

Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Make sure that the garment is completely dry before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place
Do not clean your gloves in a washing machine. Clean the fabric gloves by hand with warm water and soap. These gloves have a membrane and must not be washed with a fabric softener because the latter damages the membrane by blocking its pores, which makes it less effective. Do not leave your gloves to dry on a radiator because the extreme difference in temperature will damage the materials. Dry them in the open air.
