WADDING THERMAL INSULATION
Thermal insulation keeps the skier or snowboarder at the right temperature: not too warm, nor too cold. The garment then adapts to the physical behaviour of the body and the outside environment. We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm.The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibres used.The thicker the wadding, the more air there is, and the warmer it is.
Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. Wed'ze trousers are made with a water-repellent component that prolongs resistance to bad weather and prevents water from getting in. It is an additional technical solution to make sure you stay dry as long as possible throughout the day. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.
A breathable coating means that the surface is coated with a paste or liquid. Once applied to a fabric, it creates a protective layer often used as a waterproof barrier that wicks away water vapour.
To test if a fabric is breathable, you measure its evaporative resistance, known as RET (ISO 11092 standard). That's its ability to let the vapour produced by the body during physical exertion escape, to avoid having too much water on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wedze uses technical components and solutions to limit condensation inside the gloves.
We take particular care in choosing all the elements used in our products. The durable materials and sturdy assemblies are tested during highly instructive testing days! In particular, our trousers are all equipped with edge protection panels at the ankles to minimise any damage to the trousers from the ski edges.
Do you know that you feel colder in the wind? Where the outdoor temperature is 0° with a wind-speed of 20 km, it feels like -10°. "Windproof" components reduce this cooling effect by stopping the air flow owing to the wind and owing to the relative speed of the sports activity.

All Wed'ze products are designed and developed in the Mont Blanc Valley. They are then tested in conditions identical to their target use (snow, cold weather, powder etc.) Our design teams ensure that the product is fit for purpose and able to withstand real-life conditions.
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Make sure that the product is completely dry before storing in a dry and ventilated place

All Wed'ze gloves have a water-resistant feature that prevents the fabric from absorbing water, but to let it slide over the surface. Consequently, the fabric does not soak up the water. It remains lightweight and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be restored every 2 to 3 washes with the waterproofing products available in our stores.
All Wed’ze gloves are “wind-breaking”. Did you know that wind makes you feel colder? With an outside temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the apparent temperature will be -10°C. The "wind proof" components reduce the wind chill due to the wind or relative speed of the sporting activity
