The word from the Product Manager.
Because it is often difficult to find the right buoyancy aid for a child, to anticipate his level of comfort in the water and his confidence, Nabaiji designed Tiswim. Thanks to its modularity, this adaptable armband-waistband allows the child to discover the joys of playing in the water, moving and learning the first swimming movements in complete safety.
    2
The 3 Nabaiji LEARNING TO SWIM experiences
Nabaiji offers 3 experiences: Discovering the water, Discovering swimming and Discovering underwater. Thanks to its modularity, the Tiswim Armband-Belt is part of both the "Discovering the water" and "Discovering swimming" experience:the child is discovering the aquatic environment, they need a lot of buoyancy to help them to build confidence in this new environment. Then he learns to use his arms and legs to balance and discovers the horizontal position (swimmer's position)
    3
The Tiswim 3 modes of use
Step 1 / Initially, the Tiswim is used with all the parts (armbands + belt in front) Step 2 / The armbands alone to start moving in the water in a vertical position Step 3 / Belt alone positioned in the back, the discovery of the swimmer's position (horizontal) and the first movements of swimming.
    4
    Practical advice
When the full Tiswim is used, the ventral portion should be positioned at the chest, adjusting the inflation so that the product does not rise to the child's chin during use. This is to avoid any risk of friction. In case of prolonged use of the product, do not hesitate to put a little top under your child's Tiswim for more comfort.

    Technical Information
      • Nabaiji offers three LEARNING TO SWIM experiences: Discovering the water, Discovering swimming and Discovering immersion. Products adapted to each experience on offer. The adaptive armband is part of the "Discovering the water" experience. Its flexibility accompanies the child as they discover the water, with a buoyancy level that goes down as they progress, allowing them to discover different positions in the water.
      • Because it is often difficult to find the right buoyancy aid for a child, to anticipate his level of comfort in the water and his confidence, Nabaiji designed Tiswim. With its modular versatility, this progressive armband-waistband allows the child to discover the joys of playing in the water, moving and learning the first swimming movements in complete safety.
      • Step 1/ Initially, the Tiswim is used with all the parts (armbands + belt in front) Step 2/ Armbands only to start moving in the water in a vertical position Step 3/ Belt only positioned at the back to discover the swimmer's position (horizontal) and the first movements of swimming.
      • Place the front section on the upper part of the belly, so that the belt wraps around the lower part of the child's chest. Tighten normally, then inflate the front section directly on the child, without over-inflating it. The belt will then be perfectly suited to your child's size.
      • On the top of the stomach. Be careful not to position the belt on your child's chest, this would make it too high and poorly held in place. Place it in a low position so that the buoyant part is pressed against the lower part of their chest.
      • The different learning stages have slightly different inflation requirements. The armbands are always inflated to the maximum. However, you should ideally inflate the second chamber directly on your child's arm. The inflation of the belt in the front position should be adjusted to the size of your child. The belt in the back position should be inflated normally, without over-inflating, before being put in position.
      • As each person is different, it is possible to adjust the inflation of the front section of the Tiswim to suit your child's body shape. First, tighten the belt directly on your child without having inflated the front section, so that it is perfectly adjusted to your child's size. Then inflate the front section while your child is wearing the belt.
      • In most cases this is because the front section is too inflated or the belt poorly positioned. Be sure to position the belt on the child's upper belly and adjust the inflation of the front section to their size.
      • If your child tips backwards it is because the volume of the front section is not suited to their size. It is important to remember that to be able to use the progressive armbands, your child's motor skills and muscle tone must be sufficiently developed so that they can keep their balance and keep their head up on land. However, if your child still tips backwards, do not hesitate to adjust the inflation of the front section to their size so that they can regain their balance.
      • No, if the armbands are properly fitted, your child will not be able to fall forward. It is important to remember that to be able to use the progressive armbands, your child's motor skills and muscle tone must be sufficiently developed so that they can keep their balance and keep their head up on land. However, if your child moves around a lot and is on the smaller side, adjust the inflation of the front section so that they are a little more submerged at chest level.
      • In the third stage, your child can discover the horizontal position in the water with the belt on their back. To do this, fully inflate the back section, without over-inflating it, then position the belt around your child's waist and tighten normally. Be sure to position the protective tabs under the straps to make them more comfortable.
      • Depending on your child's activity level and duration of sessions in the water, personal buoyancy aids can cause chafing. To prevent this discomfort, we recommend wearing a top underneath the Tiswim progressive armbands.
      • All our armbands feature a one-way valve. If, however, you find that your product is deflating during use, make sure that the plugs are tightly closed and that the one-way valve is not deformed. To check this, pinch the entire valve several times by pressing with your fingers before the first inflation. Then inflate the product as much as possible to flatten the valve flap.
      • Yes, but be careful! If the set is properly fitted, your child can jump in the water without it rubbing under their chin or arms. But beware of the height; since the armbands are a buoyancy aid, do not try to jump from a height higher than that of the child. If the entire product is worn and your child is jumping into the water without a care, try removing the front section to give them more freedom of movement.
      • No, Tiswim progressive armbands are designed for children between 15 and 30 kg for safety reasons. Below this, the armbands would be too bulky to allow the child to move comfortably. They would no longer be able to control their movements and as a result could easily tip backwards or forwards without being able to get back up easily. Respect the indicated weight limit.
