The Vibram sole has excellent grip, the Outdry membrane makes the boot waterproof and the strap system offers great foot support.

These boots were co-designed with passionate trekkers, each bringing their own special skills. For example, one of our co-designers is a chiropodist, which means we can address the physiological needs of feet, to ensure comfort and optimal safety when trekking.
Footwear waterproofing test
These boots, which have been laboratory and field tested, are equipped with a waterproof membrane that provides optimum waterproofing and breathability. To start, the footwear is immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the boot. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing
In our waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexions (approximately 4 km walk) 4000 flexions (approximately 8 km walk) 8000 flexions (approximately 16 km walk). Naturally, when the product has dried after this test or in use, it regains its original waterproofing.
Footwear waterproof rating
The TREK 700 women's boot has passed the waterproofing test involving 8000 flexes, i.e. 16 km of walking in water up to the middle of the upper.
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: - attachment of eyelets and webbing - sole assembly - toxicology - UV resistance - abrasion of the sole and upper components - accelerated ageing.
Use a brush and/or a sponge to clean the shoe and remove dirt or mud residue. Then, air dry away from a heat source. Finish by spraying the upper with a waterproof spray to maintain the water repellent properties and prolong the lifetime of the shoe.
Try on both shoes, while standing, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the heel seating (the heel should barely rise if at all) and the front of the foot while going downhill (the toes should not touch the front of the boot). Please note: NARROW FIT. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
TREK700 F boots are manufactured in the European Union, in Romania, in a factory specialising in the production of trekking boots. This factory uses only water-based glues without chemical solvents. Most of the materials are of European origin.
Store in a dark, dry and well-ventilated place.
The wearing comfort and comfort in use of all our boots are tested by users who are representative of the people the products are designed for, under the same conditions you would encounter in use. Our Field Test Missions team the product manager up with people who aren't affiliated with FORCLAZ, to test, improve and validate our products.
