Instructions for use
One side screws onto the spotting scope once the eyepiece has been removed from just above the zoom adjustment ring. The other side screws onto the body of your reflex camera, taking the place of the normal camera lens. Remember to tighten the small screw on the side of the adapter to prevent the camera body turning.
The mount adapter has no electronics. Photos should be taken in manual mode and with manual focus using the scope's focusing mechanism.
Start off by setting the ISO to 1600, with an aperture of f/5.6 and shutter speed 1/500 sec. If the photo is dark, increase the ISO to 3200 and reduce shutter speed to 1/250 sec, only if using a tripod. If the photo is too light, reduce the ISO to 800, with an aperture of f/11 or shutter speed 1/1000 sec.
Continue adjusting until you find the optimum settings.
