Designed for snow hikers for your regular hiking on all types of snow-covered ground. Make the most of big snow-covered areas. These boots are warm and waterproof at 2/3 of their height via their double-walled shoe are very easy to put on thanks to their side zipper. The snowcontact sole ensures a good grip on the snow.
Comfort temperature rating when stationary: -9° C. in dynamics: -16°C.
Double inner wall shoe that guarantees impermeability to 2/3 of the height.
SNOWCONTACT technology: optimal grip / grip on snow, 3.5 mm cleats.
Side opening with 1/2 zip for a quick and comfortable on and off.

VERY COLD WEATHER
Based on the field and lab tests carried out to measure the perception of cold with a panel of users, we gauge the thermal insulation of our boots when stationary (static) and when moving (dynamic). It is now possible to give an accurate measurement of the temperature at which the boots will protect you. The comfort temperature ratings are indicated for the boots. We take into account the differences in the perception of cold between men and women.
These boots, which have been tested in the laboratory, provide the best possible waterproofing. The boots are initially immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check for bubbles on the surface of the boot. Then they are placed on a mechanical arm simulating walking, half immersed in water. We then check if the inside of the boot remains perfectly dry. These laboratory tests are supplemented with wear and ageing tests conducted in the field.
During the waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing, with 2000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 4 km walk), 4000 flexes (approx. equivalent to an 8 km walk) and 8000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 16 km walk).
This model of boot has been tested up to 8000 flexions equivalent to 16 km of walking. (The upper of the boot is water-repellent but the double-walled shoe guarantees a water-resistance to 2/3 of the height)
The SNOWCONTACT soles are designed using a specific component and a lug pattern that is designed to provide the best possible grip and traction. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. When used on ice, optimum safety can only be ensured by adding non-slip grips.
This boot has been tested in the field in climatic conditions adapted to its use by hikers accompanied by the product manager. In particular, we analyse the technical elements of the boot to validate the product in relation to its specifications and the feedback that you send us.
Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to fully guarantee your satisfaction in use. Among other things, we validate the following elements: strength of eyelets and straps, strength of glued assemblies, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of the sole and upper components and accelerated ageing.
Store your products in a well-ventilated location away from light and moisture.
