We measure the resistance of a fabric to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (test based on Standard ISO 811). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with a 2000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hour).Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2000 Schmerbers).

To assess the breathability of the fabric, the evaporative resistance, RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard), is measured. The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity can escape, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9

Abrasion and friction resistance test: we check, for example, that our fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in the laboratory. Colour fastness test: colour-fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Aging test: repeated washing must not affect the properties of the fabric, its behaviour, thickness or appearance.

Coating applied to the inner fabric makes it waterproof and windproof. Waterproof fabric has the necessary technical characteristics to be considered windproof. Protection from the wind is critical, as whether playing sports or at rest, wind can chill the body significantly.

Elasticated cuffs. Inside mesh lining, ventilated back. Reflective strips on front and back of jacket. "Connected" pocket to allow earphones through.

1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): close rip tabs, gentle wash. Wash jackets and trousers inside out.
