This garment has been subjected to a 2-hour shower test using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm is able to resist the pressure exerted by 2,000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a 2 hour rain shower). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2000 schmerbers).
To find out if a fabric is breathable, measure its evaporative resistance RET (test based on ISO 11092). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9
Can be stored in its pocket, and worn tight to the body at the beltline. Central zip opening, hood, elasticated wrists and waistband
Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we check with tests carried out in a laboratory that the fleece doesn’t pill. Colour retention test: the colour fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing must not affect the properties of the fabric, its behaviour, thickness or appearance.
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): rip-tabs closed, mild detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine, as: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix the clothing styles and the colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Either line or tumble dry (low temperature, short cycle).
The product's environmental impacts are calculated over its whole lifecycle and with different indicators. An overall rating from A to E is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are beautiful, simple and technologically advanced. We then test them ruthlessly in the field because we are convinced that only the real situation as you live it can allow us to progress continuously.
