The lenses are activated by UV rays and deactivated when the UV rays diminish. The lenses need time to adapt to this technology (activation/deactivation) and this adaptation period varies according the outside temperature. Activation = 30 seconds (whatever the temperature). Deactivation takes between 1 min (above 20°C) and several minutes (below 10°C). In cold weather, the deactivation time takes longer. Car windscreens block UV light.

Running glasses, like eyeglasses, should be carefully cleaned with suitable products to avoid scratching the lenses and blurry vision caused by dirt. Do not use household maintenance products, disinfectants or acetone for cleaning. These products can damage the lenses as well as the coatings. Only apply lens cleaning spray, liquid soap or washing-up liquid and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
