Size & weight
Our mat is 185 cm long, 65 cm wide and 3 mm thick. It weighs 1.4 kg. Included with the mat is an elastic grey Yoga Mat Strap that can be used to keep your mat rolled up and can be used to carry your mat around.
Choosing your yoga mat
- If you practice gentle yoga practice (hatha, restorative, prenatal) - Transitions are slower and poses are less physically intense. A mat between 5 and 8 mm thick will provide enough cushioning for your cervical spine and joints. This mat is 3MM, so the cushioning might not be as good - If you practice dynamic yoga (Ashtanga, vinyasa, hot yoga, Bikram) - Transitions are fast and the intensity is high. A mat below 5 mm thick like this one will give you better grip and stability for balances.
Our product design process
There are eight of us on our team: from beginner yogi to instructor. We all share this passion. Whether we do gentle yoga or have a more dynamic practice, we're all seeking balance. With our network of yogi ambassadors, we (e)co-design products to meet your needs and mindset. We are committed to making your yoga practice a positive, generous and eco-friendly experience.
Caring for your mat
After practicing, there might be sweat marks on the mat, as the rubber top is porous in nature! Simply dry it out and use our essential oil spray to freshen your mat. To clean your mat, wipe down generously with warm water and allow to air dry before rolling up. Do not leave in direct sunlight. The mat's porous, extremely grippy material tends to mark easily, leaving proof of your consistency and progress!
A Yogi's Review:
Excellent Mat 4/5 • 26/07/2019 Regarding the Dynamic Yoga Studio Mat 5 mm Grey used for 3 to 6 months This is the first time I've found such a stable mat with so much grip that's also comfortable. The material is comfortable. I like the grey colour, even though it is very simple. As for the sweat marks, yes, they are visible but that does not bother me much really... there are more advantages than there are drawbacks.
