We use recycled wadding (60 g/m² on the arms and 100 g/m² on the body) for insulation to help keep you warm. This synthetic polyester-based wadding traps more or less air, depending on the size of its fibres, to insulate you from the cold.
In addition to its filling, your jacket's waterproof zips, collar, jacket bottom tightening and adjustable cuffs offer better protection against the cold and damp for a warmer feeling.
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by the body's physical activity to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height in mm of a water column that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a water resistance of 5000mm therefore withstands the pressure exerted by 5000mm of water.
The 150 jacket was rigorously developed and assembled to prevent water from entering and to feel the wind less, to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc). We have checked the waterproofness of this product in practice during different weather conditions over several days.
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. This jacket features water repellent components that extend its weather resistance. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
Remember that water repellency can be restored. To do this, put the jacket in the dryer on a synthetic programme for 10 to 15 minutes. You can also use a waterproofing spray (sold in our stores): spray the product evenly over the entire garment, then allow to dry for 10 to 12 hours).
It's a garment that is capable of wicking away the water vapour produced by your body when exercising. To see if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat (RET) in a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 150 jacket has an RET of 7. However, it is the technical solutions (zips, vents, mesh) that Wedze uses that limit condensation inside the garment and maximise breathability.
Regular fit. The jacket has sides that fall straight and remain parallel rather than trying to follow the shape of your bust. The interior volume enables this jacket to be worn in combination with a first and second technical layer.
To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or the insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or the protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
The adjustable jacket bottom and elastic sleeve cuffs prevent snow and air from entering while skiing, and especially in case of a fall.

Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
