What have we done to reduce our environmental impact?
The main fabric of these shorts contains 79% organically grown cotton. Since 2006, we have been using organic cotton, a relatively small market that currently accounts for just 0.4% of global cotton production. It is cotton grown without chemical fertilisers or pesticides. It preserves biodiversity, soil fertility and reduces the risk of polluting the water tables.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
On a scale from A to E, this product was rated C. The environmental impacts of our products are calculated over their entire life cycle. Each product is scored to allow you to identify those with the better environmental impact by comparing it to other products in the same family (t-shirt, trousers, backpack, etc.).
Our hiking shorts and skorts are guaranteed for 2 years. Our commitment? To provide long-lasting products that you can use for all your country walks and strolls. Because the products we love the most are those that have a story to tell and will have more to tell in the future!
We recommend that you store these shorts folded or on a hanger, in a dry place.
Our design team thinks up, draws and designs the Quechua products at the foot of the Mont Blanc, in France. We test them in the field with other hikers, to check their comfort and durability. In the Fontainebleau Forest, Brittany or even Corsica for example. We go on as many footpaths as possible, in all weather conditions. This creates plenty of opportunities for discussion to get your feedback which is used to plan our future products!
