Extendible volume: 50L + 10 litres extra thanks to the adjustable height of the bag top. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in litres, with a margin of error of just a few %
2.0 kg The empty weight shown is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Near your back, place heavy equipment (tent, stove, food). Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent under the bag if there’s no space inside. Keep a waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, place small items for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses...). The water bag should be placed in the compartment that is usually placed the length of the back.
Why are our rain covers grey when some trekkers want them to be brightly coloured?
The grey colour used for the covers of our trekking rucksacks is neutral because it consumes less dye. The component is made of BITON: this process allows us to lower our CO2 impact and reduce consumption and water pollution in comparison to coloured models. These small measures demonstrate the commitment of Forclaz to improve the environmental impact of its products.
Our engineers have conducted tests simulating the ageing of rucksacks. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. The results enable Forclaz to guarantee the tested bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt

All our backpacks are tested in use in the field by target users under the same conditions as they would experience in real-life use. In particular, our "Mission Tests" bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products. This specific model was approved by hikers touring Mont Blanc in June 2017.
