Our rucksack designers created this 60L rucksack for complete peace of mind on your adventures, thanks to its zip that can be padlocked. The suitcase-style opening lets you access contents and store your bag easily. The integrated rain pocket will protect the bag contents from rain.
Double handles at the top and bottom of the bag for easy handling.
We reduce our environmental impact by dyeing the yarn when it is manufactured
ADDITIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce the environmental impact, we chose a mass pigmentation process that integrates colour pigments during the yarn manufacturing. It enables us to reduce CO² emissions by 23% compared to a traditional dye.
Eco-design of the TRAVEL 100 backpack
We work relentlessly to reduce the environmental impact of our backpacks. It’s a balance between material choice and product durability. In fact, the heavier the bag the higher it’s CO2 consumption. Heavy material often indicates strength and durability. This is why our challenge is to combine eco-design with durability.
What about the TRAVEL 100 from a practical point of view?
On this TRAVEL 100 rucksack, we worked on the fabric, using mass pigmentation. In the first year, we have moved all inner BLACK fabrics over to the dope dyed process. In the second year, along with our partner supplier, we managed to do this for outer fabrics in DARK GREY, BLACK and KHAKI. Next year’s challenge is therefore to do this for BORDEAUX, BLUE and LIGHT GREY fabric!
How to adjust your backpack?
Begin by adjusting the lumbar belt. The bag's weight should sit mainly on your hips. Then tighten the shoulder straps to bring the bag's weight towards your back. Attach and tighten the chest strap then tighten the smaller straps above the shoulders so that the back sits perfectly on your back.
Backpack TRAVEL 100 compartments
Suitcase-style wide opening. A big internal compartment in the bottom of the bag (for shoes or laundry for example). An inside net pocket and on each side of the big compartment. A zipped belt pocket (perfect for having your phone to hand) Water compartment against the back (could also be used for a laptop)
Protect your bag in the rain
The bag comes with a rain pocket waterproof to 2,000 mm (Schmerbers) This is equivalent to a rain shower of 60 L per hour per square metre.
