Some colours of the design react with the presence of UV. When your child goes outside in sunny weather, he'll love seeing his T-shirt change!
Clothing remains the best form of protection from the sun's rays: preferably wear long sleeves, trousers and hats with wide brims. Please note: a T-shirt alone does not provide adequate protection: the thickness of the fabric, the density of the weave and even the colour can impact the rate of UV filtered. The UPF 40+/ 50+ certification guarantees compliance with European standards. A UPF 40+ rating means that 97.5% of rays are blocked out, 50+ that more than 98% of rays are blocked out.
Durability of the components
Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we carry out laboratory tests to check that the fleeces do not pill. Colour fastness test: we check colour fastness to ensure that colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric's original properties, including its shape, thickness or appearance.
Selection of dyes that respect humans and the environment. Waste water processing takes place in all our textile dyeing plants.
Product environmental impact comparison score
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over the entire lifecycle of the product using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For further information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are attractive, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, as we remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real-world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
