This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm is therefore resistant to pressure exerted by 2,000 mm of water (which corresponds approximately to 2 hours of rain). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2000 Schmerbers).
To find out if a fabric is breathable, measure its evaporative resistance RET (test based on ISO 11092). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9
Can be stored in the pocket. Central zip opening, hood, elasticated wrists and waistband
Durability of the components
Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we carry out laboratory tests to check that the fleeces do not pill. Colour fastness test: we check colour fastness to ensure that colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric's original properties, including its shape, thickness or appearance.
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): rip-tabs closed, mild detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix different types of clothing and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Either line or tumble dry (low temperature, short cycle). A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated over its whole lifecycle and with different indicators. An overall rating from A to E is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For further information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are attractive, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, as we remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real-world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
